The park’s 7.653kms (2,955 sq/mi) area remains remarkably pristine after 130 years of sustained effort to create and preserve a part of Canada’s heritage. Algonquin is unique among North American wilderness treasures in having no major towns, no resorts, and no modern comforts. It is just Algonquin.
