The present booklet with folktales is a glossed edition particularly made for people with an English speaking background who would like to improve their German language skills.
The brothers Grimm published Kinder- und Hausmärchen in 1812 but the fact that the stories are well-known will make it easier to understand them. Besides, two stories have been filmed by Walt Disney.
The texts are densely and independently glossed.
If the folktales are read in class it may be a good idea to let the students dramatize them - either by using the texts themselves or by letting the students rewrite them in a modernized form.
