The acquisition of these works took place in the period from 1880 to 1910, and by far the majority of them were bought by Jacobsen himself. The collection numbers just over eighty pieces, here chronologically arranged. Experiencing them in sequence makes it possible to trace the development of European sculpture from Neo Classicism to Early Modernism.
