in which he systematically registered and described Klint´s entire oeuvre.
Volume I describes Kaare Klint´s life and career. He was the son of P.V. Jensen-Klint, the master builder who created Copenhagen´s Grundtvig Church. But through Kaare Klint´s work we can see how he developed into an artist in his own right, establishing himself as one of the most important Danish architects/designers of the 20th century. Volume II contains a systematic list of works in chronological order that shows the breadth of Klint´s oeuvre. It also contains biographical data, an extensive bibliography, and an index of persons.
The 1,200 illustrations – Klint´s own sketches, working drawings made at his office, and contemporary photographs – provide the best insight into his work method.
The monograph is available in Danish and English editions. The volumes, measuring 25 x 31 cm, are bound in cinnabar cloth with blind tooling and come in a black slipcase. The English edition has a total of 820 pages.
