This is a novel about a 17-year-old girl who loses her parents in a car accident, leaving her vulnerable to the predators of the world. She realizes that her parents were not who they seemed to her and the rest of the world and her life was not what she believed that it was. Nothing was as it seemed to be. Our heroine Mary finds herself searching for the brother she never knew she had but always wanted to have.
As if Mary's life were not complicated enough because of the loss of her parents, it gets even more complicated as she finds her prince on the white horse that takes her like the storm. Because of the conflict between him and her family, Mary loses every contact with the rest of her family when she marries the man of her dreams. Then Mary gets pregnant and slowly, really slowly, all of her husband's secrets get unveiled. But not until Mary's and her son’s life are at stake.
