All the governments in the world have ratified the UNs’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which will make the world a better place for everyone by 2030. ‘Victoria and the Sustainable Development Goals’ is a series about the 17 goals.
In ‘The Polar Bear’, 12-year-old Victoria and her family and friends must help prevent a global climate crisis (SDG 13). In the book, Victoria gets to see planet earth’s fragile atmosphere from space and she gives a fiery speech against the use of fossil fuels in the shape of coal, oil and natural gas … and in favour of more green energy and a lot more trees.
Victoria and the Sustainable Development Goals are for children aged 9-12 … and their teachers, parents and grandparents. The books are suitable for reading aloud and for discussions.
